How are the archaeological sites distributed by type and shoreline?

Open Scatters are the most common site type, comprising 59.1% of the sample (13 sites). Of these, 3 occur on sandy shorelines and 10 on rocky shores. The next-largest category is Large Open Middens, making up 36.4% of the dataset (8 sites), all of which are found on rocky coasts. Cave occupations are rare, accounting for just 4.5% (1 site) and likewise occurring on a rocky shoreline.
