Where to find VIERA Link on an old Panasonic TB-50W60AEY (UK) TV?
On older Panasonic TVs the VIERA Link (also called HDMI-CEC by other brands) is accessed through the TV’s remote and menus. For the Panasonic TB-50W60AEY (UK model) try the following:
- Turn the TV on and press the remote’s Menu or Home button.
- Go to Setup, System, or Options (menu wording varies by firmware).
- Look for “HDMI Control”, “VIERA Link” or “Link” and set it to On.
- If there is a separate “Remote Device” or “Control” submenu you can enable device control from there as well.
If you cannot find it in menus:
- Try pressing the remote’s Input or AV button until the “Options” or “Setup” sub-menu appears while an HDMI source is selected — some older sets show HDMI Control there.
- Check the TV’s user manual (search “VIERA Link” and “HDMI Control” within it).
- Ensure the device you want to control is connected to an HDMI port and that device’s HDMI-CEC (may be called Anynet+, Bravia Sync, Simplink, etc.) is enabled.
If you tell me which remote buttons you have or the firmware/menus you see I can give step-by-step instructions.
