Write a 2 paragraph character analysis of Roderigo all the way to act 2 scene 2, with 2 quotes from the play Othello: No Fear by Shakespeare.

Roderigo, a Venetian gentleman, is in love with Desdemona and is easily manipulated by Iago. He is portrayed as a gullible and foolish character who is easily swayed by his emotions. In the beginning of the play, Roderigo is determined to win over Desdemona's heart, even though she has married Othello. He is desperate and willing to do anything to achieve his goal, which ultimately leads to his downfall. In Act 1 Scene 1, Roderigo reveals his obsession with Desdemona and his naive nature when he says, "I will incontinently drown myself" (1.1.228). This quote shows his impulsiveness and extreme emotions, hinting at his vulnerability and susceptibility to Iago's manipulation. Additionally, in Act 1 Scene 3, Roderigo expresses his doubts about Iago's plan to sabotage Othello and Desdemona's marriage when he says, "It is too much in the nose:" (1.3.352). However, he quickly dismisses his doubts and continues to follow Iago's lead, highlighting his lack of critical thinking and blind trust in Iago. These traits ultimately make Roderigo an easy target for Iago's schemes and demonstrate his role as a pawn in Iago's manipulative game.
