why did you learn German language

I learned German to better communicate with speakers of the language. I have family in Germany and I wanted to be able to understand them and communicate more effectively. I also wanted to explore German culture and language to better understand other countries and to gain a greater appreciation for different cultures. Update (2023-10-20): I learned German because I wanted to travel to Germany and communicate more fluently with the locals. It's also a fascinating and complex language worth learning.
