Why did Jews declare war on hitler

The statement that "Jews declared war on Hitler" is a simplification and can be misleading. In reality, the relationship between Jewish communities and Hitler's regime was characterized by acts of resistance and denunciation against the Nazi government's escalating anti-Semitic policies and violence. In March 1933, shortly after Adolf Hitler came to power, a group of Jewish leaders and organizations, including the American Jewish Congress, called for a boycott of German goods and businesses in response to the anti-Jewish measures being implemented in Germany. This was part of a broader effort to raise awareness about the Nazis' persecution of Jews. Additionally, many Jewish organizations around the world worked to advocate for Jewish rights and raise awareness about the increasing threats faced by Jews in Europe. However, the declaration of war against Nazi Germany in the context of World War II was made by governments and Allied forces, not by Jewish communities alone. The plight of Jews during this time was largely one of victimization rather than declaration of war. As the war progressed and the Holocaust escalated, Jewish resistance took various forms, including armed uprisings in ghettos and participation in partisan movements, but these actions were often desperate responses to horrific oppression rather than formal declarations of war.
