The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is located in Central Africa. It is bordered by nine countries: to the north, it shares borders with Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan; to the east, it borders Tanzania (across Lake Tanganyika); to the south, it borders Zambia and Angola; and to the west, it borders the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), as well as the Atlantic Ocean via a short coastline at the mouth of the Congo River. The capital city of the DRC is Kinshasa.
