when does water boil?
Water typically boils at 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) at standard atmospheric pressure (1 atmosphere or 101.3 kPa). However, the boiling point can change with variations in atmospheric pressure. For example, at higher altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is lower, water will boil at a lower temperature. Conversely, at higher pressures, such as in a pressure cooker, water can boil at temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Celsius.
