It's absurd that the Justice Department is being pressured to release the names of individuals connected to such a serious issue. Imagine lawmakers being able to read out names on the House floor without facing any legal repercussions thanks to the Constitution’s speech or debate clause. Rep. Thomas Massie recently suggested he’d let the DOJ take another look at things—essentially giving them a reality check on their previous work.
Meanwhile, Rep. Ro Khanna is adamant that this isn't some sort of witch hunt. He argues that just because someone is mentioned in the files doesn’t automatically make them guilty. Yet, he also highlights a disturbing truth: powerful figures have exploited underage girls, and it's not just the obvious suspects like Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell who are involved. There are others who either visited the notorious locations or were aware of the horrific activities taking place.
In a somewhat eyebrow-raising move, Massie even shared a document listing 20 names, with the vast majority redacted except for Epstein and Maxwell. It raises some serious questions about transparency and accountability. When will we stop treating these matters lightly and start demanding the clarity and justice they deserve?
