In an eye-opening conversation on Fox News with Sean Hannity, President Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, revealed some startling claims from Iran. He shared that before the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, there was some candid talk from Iranian negotiators. They told both Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, that they had about 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%. That’s significant because, according to Witkoff, they could ramp up the enrichment to weapons-grade levels of 90% in just about a week or ten days. “Essentially, they said it right out, with no hesitation, that they were sitting on enough enriched uranium to potentially build 11 nuclear weapons. It was part of their negotiation strategy,” Witkoff explained. Adding to the urgency of the situation, The Wall Street Journal chimed in over the weekend, saying that Iran's main nuclear sites could have enough enriched uranium to create around 12 nuclear bombs. This follows reports from last year highlighting a concerning trend: Iran had been ramping up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Notably, experts have indicated that by last summer, Iran could have enough material to produce enough highly enriched uranium for 19 nuclear weapons in just three months. It’s a situation that surely has the attention of the world.
