I don’t need perfect grammar to convey just how terrible the electricity supply is in Nigeria. It's incredibly frustrating. On a changeover switch, I saw the word "F00ls," which is supposed to represent NEPA (the National Electric Power Authority) but clearly missed the mark. Next to it, there was "Gen," short for generator. As I examined the changeover switch more critically, I began to analyze what was written. "F G" could also stand for Federal Government. Suddenly, everything clicked into place. The Federal Government is the one punishing us with this grim reality. Why is something as basic as electricity treated like a luxury in this part of the world?
