OLIVIA VOL.1 BUILT FILES – BLACK CEILING

Vol.1 Built Files: Black Ceiling Layout 7 | The Painted Ceiling When exploring possibilities for the ceiling in our master bedroom I had two objective’s. The first, was to avoid unnecessary drywall makes, which is why we picked Rustic Pine pre-finished wainscot panels for the walls. And the second objective was to provide a good contrast to the pine. In order to accomplish those objectives I photoshopped in several possibilities. The hardest part was choosing just one idea. I’m sure over time the ceiling may change, it is much easier to do in the beginning of the project than after everything has been completed. Here is a sneak peak of some of our choices that weren’t implemented: Copy of Rustic Pine Vinyl Beadboard So those were my first thoughts. Generally I liked the idea of a vertical plank ceiling. But we were limited in exactly how much clearance we had to work with because of all our new plumbing, electrical, and the internal ceiling, so we decided to keep things simple with a simple flat black ceiling. We were confident that we knew what it would look like. The wooden solutions however, had different sizes, color and textures so we needed to photoshop a good mock up.
