!" and a high-pitched half sob of joy. Even before they violently embraced him, it was clear that Marcel and Tutu were equally delighted by his presence as their leader. Kurt at this point could not think of anything he could say or do that would take full advantage of this moment. He knew that a simple smile or a few words would mean far more than anything else he could do. Kurt simply embraced his two comrades, feeling a sense of pure joy and contentment that he had never felt before. He knew in that moment that there was nowhere else he would rather be than in the company of his friends, fighting for a cause they all believed in. After a few moments, the three of them broke apart, all three of them wearing huge grins. "I can't believe it's really you, Kurt!" Tutu exclaimed, still grinning. "I can't believe it either," Kurt replied, his eyes shining with happiness. "You both look well. How have things been?" Marcel's expression turned a bit more somber, and Kurt realized that they had a lot of catching up to do. "We'll fill you in on everything," Marcel said, patting Kurt on the back. "For now, let's just say we're happy to have you back." Kurt nodded, a lump forming in his throat at the thought of all he had missed. But for now, he was content to just be back with his friends, ready to continue the fight for justice and freedom. Together, the three of them walked towards what would be their new base of operations, chatting and catching up on everything that had happened in Kurt's absence. As they walked, Kurt couldn't help but feel like he was exactly where he was meant to be, with the people he loved, fighting for what was right.
