Is there any corollation of diet and the incedence of alzheimers
disease?
There is limited research available about the potential correlation between diet and the incidence of Alzheimer's disease. Studies have suggested that there may be a correlation between diets low in fiber and high in saturated fat, cholesterol, and trans fatty acids, and an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. Other studies have also shown that diets high in antioxidants, polyphenols, and anti-inflammatory compounds, such as those found in the Mediterranean diet, may reduce the risk. Until further research is conducted, the connection between diet and Alzheimer's disease is uncertain.
