I have the iboss desktop app installed, and it is set in the windows proxy settings, what is a way I can get rid of iboss using certificates? I do not have admin permissions neither do I have access to registry editor

If you want to disable or bypass the iboss desktop app, especially since you don't have administrative permissions or access to the registry editor, your options are limited. However, I can suggest some general approaches you might try, keeping in mind that you should adhere to your organization's policies regarding network security and software use. 1. **Disable the Proxy Settings in the Browser:** - If your usage of iboss is primarily through a web browser, you can try disabling the proxy settings directly in the browser settings. This will prevent the browser from using the iboss proxy, though it may not affect other applications that use the Windows system proxy. 2. **Use a Different Network Connection:** - If you can connect to an alternate Wi-Fi network (not your corporate network) or use a personal hotspot, you can bypass the iboss application completely. This is obviously ideal when you want to access resources outside of the control of your organization's network. 3. **Local HTTP/HTTPS requests:** - For local browsing, if you have control over your network requests in specific applications, you might be able to set them to connect directly without the proxy or bypass iboss if they allow you to specify direct connections. 4. **Contact IT Support:** - If iboss is causing issues for your work or personal use, it might be best to discuss it with your IT department. They can provide guidance or make necessary changes if your reasons for wanting to disable iboss are legitimate. 5. **Use a Private Browser:** - You might access incognito or private browsing modes, which typically don't retain any cache or cookies beyond the browsing session. However, this doesn’t disable iboss; it merely lessens tracking during your browsing session. 6. **VPN (if allowed):** - Using a VPN may allow you to connect to the internet without going through iboss, provided that your organization’s policies allow the use of VPNs and the VPN can indeed bypass the iboss layers. 7. **Check for Local Security Software or Policies:** - Some organizations may have local enforcement policies that utilize security software to manage network connections. Check if that’s affecting your setup. Remember that circumventing corporate security measures can lead to consequences, including disciplinary actions. Always consider discussing your concerns regarding iboss usage with IT or your supervisor before attempting to make any changes.
