Assume I can only use a keyboard, I just logged into windows 10 or 11. I do not have admin rights. What exactly do i press into the keyboard to retrieve and save the saved edge passwords
Retrieving saved passwords from Microsoft Edge without administrative privileges can be challenging, especially since browsers implement security measures to protect sensitive data. If you don't have admin rights, extracting passwords programmatically is not straightforward. However, you can attempt to view them through the Microsoft Edge settings as follows:
1. **Open Microsoft Edge**: Press `Win + S`, type "Edge", and hit `Enter`.
2. **Open Settings**: Press `Alt + F` to open the menu, then press `S` to go to Settings.
3. **Autofill**: You may not be able to navigate perfectly with only the keyboard, but you can press `Tab` to cycle through the sections. Look for "Profiles" and press `Enter`.
4. **Passwords**: Once on the Profiles page, continue pressing `Tab` to find "Passwords" and press `Enter`.
5. **View Passwords**: In the Passwords section, you will see a list of saved passwords. You can use the `Tab` key to navigate to the list, and you may need to press `Space` or `Enter` on specific entries to reveal the passwords.
6. **Save or Copy Passwords**: Since you cannot use a mouse, you can highlight the password, use `Ctrl + C` to copy it, and then paste it into a text editor or a note-taking application using `Ctrl + V`.
7. **Closing Settings**: When you’re done, you can close the settings by pressing `Alt + F4`.
If you've tried this method and it doesn't provide the full information you need, you may have to reach out to an administrator or use a different approach to access the passwords you require. Keep in mind that accessing someone else's passwords without permission is unethical and potentially illegal. Always follow proper protocols for password management.
