Although buoyancy is an interesting and important physical phenomena, it is not a form of antigravity. Rather, buoyancy is a form of upward force exerted on an object (such as a ship) due to a difference in pressure between the liquid and the air or atmosphere. The upward force of buoyancy is a consequence of the downward force of gravity, rather than a force that can oppose, or cancel out the force of gravity.
