Are we gonna ever find unlimited species of rubber tree?
The concept of finding "unlimited species" of rubber trees is complex. The rubber tree, primarily represented by the species *Hevea brasiliensis*, is the main source of natural rubber. While there are many species within the Euphorbiaceae family (to which rubber trees belong), *Hevea brasiliensis* is the most economically significant due to its high latex yield.
Scientists continue to discover and document various plant species, including rubber trees, in diverse ecosystems around the world. However, the idea of "unlimited species" suggests an ever-expanding number, which is unlikely. Biodiversity does have limits based on ecological, evolutionary, and environmental factors.
Conservation efforts, research on plant genetics, and studies of tropical biodiversity may lead to the discovery of new species or varieties that could be commercially viable or ecologically important. Still, the existence of truly unlimited species in any taxonomic group is not feasible. Instead, ongoing exploration will likely reveal new information about existing and potentially undiscovered species.
