What are synchronicities?
Synchronicities are meaningful coincidences that occur when two or more seemingly unrelated events or experiences happen at the same time or in a connected way, often leading an individual to perceive a deeper significance or connection between them. The term was popularized by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who proposed that synchronicities reflect an underlying meaningful order to the universe, suggesting that our experiences are interconnected in ways that may not be immediately apparent.
These occurrences can feel significant to the individuals experiencing them and often lead to feelings of awe, wonder, or a sense of being guided. Examples might include thinking of a long-lost friend and then encountering them later that day, or discovering a book that perfectly addresses a question you've been pondering.
While some people interpret synchronicities as signs or messages, others view them as the brain's tendency to find patterns and connections in random events. Regardless of interpretation, many find synchronicities to be intriguing and meaningful experiences.
